Waiting For Words (feat People Theatre)
cold pop / synthpop / new wave, France
Waiting For Words is often described as a modern Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark whose structures cleverly mixes rock, pop, new wave, electrodark / EBM and perfect voices.
It is logical that the group was invited by the OMD to open for their concert last May 18th at the Trianon, where they received an awesome welcome by nearly a thousand spectators conquered by an effective Pop Electronic, combining retro and futurism, up and mid-tempo, a epic style inspired by the syncopated melodies of bands like Depeche Mode or Camouflage.
A real show and a rare energy breaking the rigidity often arising from this style, making the crossover with a wide audience.
After three years of intense touring (France, Belgium, UK, USA, Germany ...) and for the release of the double DVD "Live in Paris", the band will give one last show on November 10 at the legendary BUS PALLADIUM!
With a guest of luxury, exceptional and unique concert of the legendary group HEAVEN 17!
HEAVEN 17 (+ Martyn Ware Glenn Gregory)
Synthpop / new wave, UK
Let Me Go, This Is Mine, Temptation, We Do not Need This Fascist Groove Thang and many other hits have marked the 80 years.
Today, "Let Me Go" is still one of the key titles of New Wave / Gothic parties
Paradoxically, Heaven 17 NEVER performed in France ... This date is a unique event for the group and the new wave in general!
After the 2nd album HUMAN LEAGUE, two of the founding members left Phil Oakey and formed the British Electric Foundation, a multi-concept projects, including Heaven 17.
They released an album still regarded as one of the foundations of modern Electronic pop: Penthouse & Pavement.
The group launched into the orbit of the success and is still today named by many bands and artists as one of the most important sources of inspiration ...
Their career is punctuated by "breathing spaces" for each member of H17, collaborating with many artists: Martyn Ware will join Vince Clarke (founder of Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Erasure) for albums exploring surround sound before the advent of 5.1, will produce successful Tina Turner, Erasure and others, while Glenn Gregory will lend his voice, among others, to Claudia Brucken (Onetwo, Propaganda)
After succesful returns of bands like Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark or Human League, it was a logical step that Heaven 17 have also finally the opportunity to perform in Paris, after a series of dates in the U.S. and England whose legendary Shepherds Bush Empire in London and the O2 Academy Sheffield!
HEAVEN 17 Live at Metropolis Studios - CD / DVD - out in September 2013
Not to be missed under any circumstances!
SUPPORT ACT: Shiny Darkness (Fr / Synthpop)
Influenced by the synth-pop scene of the 80s, Shiny Darkness has enriched his music of new and innovative sounds without forgetting the melodies ...
Music is characterized by a combination of synthetic sounds and deep lyrics that make travel between Light and Darkness.
After the launch of the debut album "Lighthouse" in 2011 and the second "My angel has spoken" in 2012, the band toured throughout Europe (UK, Germany, Spain ...).
Currently they are working on their third album "New Stuff" whose single "Mother" will be released in September 2013, will be composed of three new songs and three remixes.
