Bye Bye 2012... Hello 2013....

So here it is.... 2013 !



Hard to believe that 20 Years ago today we
released our first album and kicked off the « Tranquility Tour 93 » in a
small club of Pigalle in front of 50 people....



Over the last 9 years Waiting For Words has
work incredibly hard, sweating blood and tears to come from an indie
underground band rescued from the 90's to what we are today, building a
new and strong fan base, a reputation and to offer some strong, solid,
attractive songs, albums, videos, tour...



In this space of time, we managed to tour intensively all over Europe (UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Germay, France...) and even hitting the US last spring. We performed in some of the best venues (Bataclan, Divan du Monde, Underworld, Glazart, Arlene's Grocery, The Assembly, The Block, Kulttemple...) with some incredible and cult bands such as De/Vision, Psyche, Onetwo, Trisomie 21 and many more.



2012 has been an incredible year
that saw our last album hitting some indie charts for weeks in Germany
and in the US. It was critically acclaimed all around the world and the
support we received from our fans, the power and energy of our last
concerts, are speechless.

We were lucky enough (even if it comes more down to hard work than luck!) to release an album, 2 Eps, some great videos, our first DVD and most of all, play live for you folks !



But 2012 saw also some incredibly difficult times
with the bankrupt of our previous distributor, losing all incomes from
the last 4 years of album sales, and all that you don't see, happening
behind the curtains, with promoters, distributors, festivals, venue
managers...



We're aware that our last Facebook communications
can have sounded a bit pessimistic and negative... but it ain't so...
Just a bit realistic:-)



Despite all this, we are full of ideas for the future,
already starting discussions on the new album theme, have some great
projects... We'll just have to see what will be the state of the music
market and how we can turn them to reality



But for now, we are embarking in a couple of weeks for the last round of the « Follow The Signs Tour » started in 2011.

With our friends from Psyche, Oberhausen, Bordeaux and Toulouse, with De/Vision in Paris, and then Nimes for the summer. And of course, if any serious opportunity occurs we'll be there again !



Each show will be unique and we will give all we
have in term of energy, sweat and passion in those gigs, just like they
were the lasts.



If some more come, fine. If no more, then no more
and we will have gone through more than 20 Years of incredibly intense
moments that we are very proud of !



So, if you ever asked yourself the question of
coming to see us live and never cross the line... this is time to do so
because we don't know if and when we will hit a stage again.
